Overview:

April 2024, Mexico, North America, fully PCBA coating line delivery completed sucessfully.


Taiwan-funded company with factories around the world, mainly OEM production of a variety of electronic products motherboards. The factory in Mexico, the equipment provided is fully automatic bottom return cycle coating line, the customer is mainly used to produce BYD series energy car three electric products, involving PCBA three anti coating, heat dissipation silicone and sealing silicone application.


Solution:

The maximum PCBA size is 710MM*500MM; PCBA coating machines, coating AOI inspection machine and other PCB handling machine are customized according to the product requirements. 


1. Coating Process Flow:


  • PCBA Coating Lift → PCBA Coating Conveyor transfer → Coating by PCBA coating machine → Coating inspection at inspection conveyor → Curing in IR oven → Coating inspection at inspection conveyor → Coating AOI inspection coating effect → Transfer with reject conveyor → Flipping by flipper machine → PCBA Coating Lift code scanning and judgment →  Store PCBA with unloader machine

  • PCBA Coating machine options:

    Long board mode 710MM*500MM, UPS, glue flow monitoring, automatic glue stirring function, automatic shutdown alarm reminder function for lack of glue, automatic program call function by QR code scanning, plate clamping system, bottom return function.

4. PCBA Coating Process Requirements:


1. Thickness control: The thickness of the paint film should be controlled within a certain range, between 50um and 150um, and the dry film thickness should be between 25um and 40um. In addition, the thickness of the primer, intermediate paint and topcoat also has corresponding requirements to ensure the reasonable distribution of thickness between each layer.


2. Coating uniformity: The three-proof paint layer should be flat, bright, and uniform in thickness, and protect the surface of the pad, patch components or conductors. Avoid paint flow, dripping, and defects such as bubbles, pinholes, ripples, shrinkage holes, and dust.


3. Coating quality: The paint surface and components should not have defects and foreign objects such as bubbles, pinholes, ripples, shrinkage holes, and dust, and there should be no powdering or peeling. During the coating process, avoid touching the undried paint film at will.

Secondary coating: To ensure the thickness of products with high protection requirements, secondary coating can be performed after the paint film is cured, but it is necessary to determine whether to perform it according to actual needs.
