The NPM-W2 amplifies the original NPM-W capabilities with a 10% throughput boost and 25% more accuracy. It also integrates new innovations like our incomparable Multi Recognition Camera. Combined, these features extend the component range down to the 03015mm microchip, yet preserve capability up to 120x90mm components up to 40mm tall and nearly 6” long (150mm) connectors.
Featuring a revolutionary Multi Recognition Camera that uniquely combines three separate imaging capabilities into a single system: 2D alignment, component thickness inspection, and 3D coplanarity measurement.

"SMT PCB mounting" refers to the process of mounting or attaching surface mount components (SMDs) onto a printed circuit board (PCB) using Surface Mount Technology (SMT) methods. This process involves placing electronic components with flat leads or contacts directly onto the surface of the PCB, as opposed to the older through-hole technology where components have wire leads inserted through holes in the PCB.
SMT PCB mounting typically includes the following steps:
Stencil Printing: Solder paste is applied to the PCB using a stencil to define the component placement areas.
Pick and Place: A pick-and-place machine, like a chip mounter, is used to accurately pick up SMDs from feeders or trays and place them onto the solder paste on the PCB. The machine ensures precise alignment and placement of components based on the PCB design.
Reflow Soldering: The PCB with the components is passed through a reflow soldering oven. The solder paste reflows, creating solder joints that secure the components to the PCB.
Inspection: After reflow soldering, automated optical inspection (AOI) or other quality control methods may be employed to inspect the solder joints and component placement for defects.
